Veteran’s Day
Every veteran’s day I post the following and today I want to share it on the blog.
Band of Brothers
“We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.
William Shakespeare
For he today that sheds his blood with me, Shall be my brother”
Quote from King Henry V

I am 2nd from left bottom row.
There are places I’ll remember
All my life, though some have changed
John Lennon
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends, I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life, I’ve loved them all

In Flanders Field
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
John McCrae
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
