Hiking to top of Amazon Canopy

The Amazon is so vast and with a tall dense canopy the best way to appreciate the enormity, one must see it from above!

So How big is the Amazon, really?!

At 6.9 million square kilometers (2.72 million square miles), the Amazon Basin is roughly the size of the forty-eight contiguous United States and covers some 40 percent of the South American continent.

See it from Above

From the MUSA Amazona, the Museum of the Amazon, which is situated at the edge of Manaus right in the jungle, I was able to hike through the jungle and up a 40 meter high observation tower to see the vast canopy firsthand.
