Escaping Civilization: My Week in a Remote Jungle Cabin.

Everything in the Amazon is remote. Our fishing cabin was more than a 4-hour boat ride to the nearest village with a road or a landing strip for a bush plane.

Accommodations were spartan, but comfortable and the food was all local, fresh and tasty. The lodge had three cabins of double occupancy and a common dining area and outdoor deck overlooking the Rio Guariba.
