Como se Llama Esta Puente … off road adventures in Costa Rica

Como Se Llama esta puente (What’s the name of this bridge) became the running joke during this trip and almost all future trips, as to get to town we had to cross a bridge, and I kept asking the locals in Spanish, “como se llama esta Puente?” None of the locals knew the name of the bridge, they just called it “puente” also many streets in Costa Rica do not have names.

Off-road Adventures in Costa Rica

Back in the early 2000s, my wife and I rented a villa in the mountains of Costa Rica and did our own eco-adventures from offshore fishing to rainforest hikes to off roading in a beat up 4×4 that had a hole in the floorboard.

While my wife’s plan was a spa vacation we enjoyed different adventures , 4×4 off-roading, horseback riding up a volcano, offshore fishing for pacific sailfish to exploring a saltwater lagoon by jet skis.

We did spend one day at the spa, which for my wife was too little and for me was maybe a day too much!
