Fishing Report March 29: Biscayne Bay

Today was one of those days where it started out slow and ended with a bang.

Went with my go to regular flats guide Capt. Mo and we hit all the great spots where we have crushed them in the past and came up with a few small barracudas.

Then when the tide changed to outgoing it was like a switch was turned in the bay.

We had non-stop action with bluefish (all around 2 to 2.5 pounds), blue runners, ladyfish as well as a few other species from trigger fish to jacks. In all we lost count but we hit high double if not triple digits on the blue fish with multiple double hooks-ups. We also landed about 8-10 ladyfish, the poor man’s tarpon, and los an equal amount to their their huge jumps right at the boat.

And by the way, this was all done with a banana on the boat!
