Off the Beaten Path: Sego Canyon, UT Petroglyphs

Sometimes you find an off the beaten path destination not too far from the main path, in the case I 70 in UT.

My son and I were on a road trip from Salt Lake City to Grand Junction, CO and came across this hidden gem online. So we had to go.

Sego Canyon, UT is a few miles down a dirt road, past a run down town and a short hike to an amazing canyon with ancient Petroglyphs dating back to 2000 BC up to about 1300 AD.

Some of these Petroglyphs do look eerily similar to aliens and UFO spaceships. But I’ll leave ancient alien conspiracy theories to other blogs. ego
