Fairbanks, AK: Gateway to the Arctic

While not high on many people’s Alaska must see list, Fairbanks was always a must see for me.

I even planned this trip around being there for the Midnight Summer Festival celebrating the Summer Solstice 2022.

Fairbanks checked a lot of boxes for me:

• The Chena river (river walk and fishing)
• Midnight Summer Festival
• Museum of the North
• Gateway to the Arctic via the Dalton Road
  • this will be treated as its own section with various posts and videos

As I spent about a third of my trip in the Arctic regions (Fairbanks and much further north) each of the above will rightfully be covered by separate blog posts as well as video blogs.
