Alaska Journey

What was supposed to be the last state visited on a 50-state quest to coincide with my 60th birthday in 2022  as a cruise with my wife, has morphed into a 3 week DIY fishing and adventure trek across the last frontier.

What Changed? 

COVID changed everything. 

By the time I make it to Alaska, I will still be a few states shy of 50 due to the lockdown. My Amazon trip planned for 2020 has been moved to 2023, and so on for other adventures, which this blog will document.

This page and blog will explore and detail my personal journeys to the world’s last frontiers including the planning, logistics, budgets and tradeoffs as well as live blogging and GPS tracking during the trips, as satellite access allows.
